SUMMER IS HERE! Time to grab your crew, fire up the grill & ice down the YETI.
We LOVE Summer! When things get hot, we like to pump the breaks in the kitchen just a bit. Summer is the perfect time to keep meals simple. So, we take the heat out of the kitchen by doing a lot of cooking outdoors. Whether is charcoal or propane, few things taste better than a burger, steak, bbq chicken or veggies on the grill.
Hit the local farmer's market and take advantage of the amazing fresh fruits and vegetables that are so plentiful. Have fun with fresh herbs by turning that same ol' chicken breast into something that is worth bragging about. Keep things light by grilling or roasting your veggies and topping them with a drizzle of EVOO and fresh herbs instead of calorie dense casseroles.
Summer is also the season that things get a little festive. From backyard bbqs, to weddings, graduations, and pool parties. That means it's time to raise a glass and offer up a toast or two, okay maybe three:) The good news is that you can still enjoy and celebrate the best of Summer and still stay on track.
