1. A story or account of events or experiences
Today, I am putting the spotlight on WEIGHT LOSS for you my friends. To sum it up, if you want to lose weight, the NARRATIVE MUST BE WEIGHT LOSS and not anything else.
Let’s face it, it’s not unusual for someone to jump into taking fitness classes or signing up for partner or group training. After all, most gyms count on these streams of revenue to keep their doors open. They also spend a large part of their marketing budget to attract, promise and secure people who are searching for weight loss answers.
The fact of the matter is that in fitness classes, partner training and group training, the narrative changes to activity. The formula fused into these readily available methods of training is simply action, movement & a healthy dose of socialization.
If weight loss is the goal, one must have a personalized calculated output plus a meal system based on nutritional science. They must also commit and stick to the process explicitly to reap the desired results.
This includes training in one’s PERSONAL fat burn heart rate zone. If one is keeping someone else’s pace, the narrative changes entirely. Make sense?
It should not come as a surprise to most of you that everybody’s metabolic rate is different. I speak the obvious so you can understand that having a clinical dieting process and plan is essential for weight loss. Remember, when it comes to wellness and especially weight loss, nothing should be cookie cutter.
Here is another dose of reality for you: Weight loss is as serious as the process of managing diabetes or cancer. It takes clinical measurements and a maniacal drive. Does this sound like the focus of any fitness class, partner or group training you have ever known or heard of?
I would also be remiss if I did not put clarity around the fact that people confuse having a trainer with getting results and reaching success. Over the course of a couple of decades, I have seen my fair share of “trainers” that do not have a clue about how to transform a body and a person’s state of wellness. Unfortunately, securing a personal training certification arms a “trainer” with little more than the knowledge of how to put a workout routine together. Does that sound like something of promise to get you to your desired destination? It takes many experiences and year's of repetition to master the science of weight-loss, due to the many different dynamics from one human body to the next.
Trust me when I say that it is much harder than you think to get that scale to move in reverse and sustain it. Your prescribed formulas must be adequately delivered and executed. This can only happen between a knowledgeable and experienced trainer and a committed individual. No class, partner training or group training can adequately deliver this. They were not designed to make those kind of promises or commitments to the consumer. They offer a buffet to the hungry. They don't offer fine cuisine for fast food money.
This is the reality of weight loss. There is no other way than the knife.
As I close things out, ask yourself this:
How many “before and after” shots have you seen of two people together?
